TASK 1: Reading Comprehension. Read the email

Hi everyone, I am Mia thanks so much for the leaving party! It was a big surprise and I really enjoyed it. I’m sorry I had to leave early-dad was worried about the traffic. In the end, we got to the airport much too early. Then the flight was delayed for three hours. My mum isn’t very keen on flying, so she was quite stressed, and dad got annoyed with Bart.(He just couldn’t sit still) Altogether, it wasn’t much fun. Fortunately New York time is five hours behind London, so it was still Sunday evening when we arrived! We’ re staying here for a week, to see some relatives. New York is really different from London, and I feel quite strange. I guess I’ll need a few days to adjust. Yesterday my cousin Sam and I went to Fifth Avenue. You’ve probably heard of it- It’s famous for its amazing stores. I was surprised at the prices. Things are much cheaper here. You should come over! We went into a music store and I looked at the charts. They’re very similar to the UK ones, actually. Then we went to the zoo in Central Park. I’am always fascinated by the monkeys there. They’re so cute. I’ve attached some photos.I’ am quite tired of travelling now, and can’t wait to get home to LA! I hope your hand’s OK now, Ryan. Don’t forget to write back soon, ad if you’re interested in visiting some time, let me know. I miss you all! Love, Mia
